Warranty Types
Manufacturers have varied approaches to warranties. Generally, most warranties cover leak repair.
· No Dollar Limit (NDL) warranties address leaks and installation issues. (Commercial only)
· Material warranties protect against defects and may prompt the manufacturer to replace the roof. Material warranties don’t cover labor.
· Total Kare Roof Warranty will cover all leaks while the roof is in serviceable condition and the contract is active.
However, roof warranties exclude damage from external sources like mechanical, new penetrations, hail, or wind. Insurance typically covers wind damage over 60 mph, while the manufacturer's warranty may apply to lower wind speeds. Regular maintenance keeps the roof up to the manufacturer's standards.
